Culroon III,[2] also known as Culroon,[3] was a terrestrial astronomical object[2] located the Culroon system of Wild Space, situated in grid square P-20 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] It was inhabited by Culroonians.[2]

Shortly before the Battle of Hoth[4] in 3 ABY,[5] the Culroonians fought the Empire[2] in a campaign[3] on Culroon III[2] after a revolt there.[6] The human male Maximilian Veers fought on Culroon III as an Imperial combatant,[2] winning the campaign for the Empire.[6] The courage, cunning,[2] and leadership[4] Veers demonstrated on Culroon III led to his promotion to the rank of general in the Imperial Army,[2] and assignment to the Sith Lord Darth Vader's Death Squadron.[6] Culroon III was mentioned in a profile on Veers in the Galactic Explorer's Guide authored by the pirate Hondo Ohnaka and his protocol droid DK-RA-43 after the Battle of Starkiller Base[3] in 34 ABY.[5]

In the Star Wars Legends continuity Culroon III was a planet that first appeared in the short story "The Promotion of Lieutenant Veers," published in The Star Wars Sourcebook in 1987. In the story, Culroon III was the site of an ambush of Imperial forces committed by the native Culroon, which resulted in Maximilian Veers' promotion from lieutenant to major.[8]
