Nath Tensent: "Now, about the blessing we came for?"
Oracle: "The Croynar sector."
Chass na Chadic: "Narrow it down to one system for us?"
Oracle: "Situations change rapidly. The sector will be enough for your needs."
―The Oracle gives information to Nath Tensent and Chass na Chadic[2]

The Croynar sector was located far from the Core Worlds of the galaxy which included the Midgor system.[2] In 5 ABY,[3] The 204th Imperial Fighter Wing of the Galactic Empire's loyalist forces attacked an Imperial convoy that served the Yomo Council—an Imperial group that had broken off from the Empire—in Midgor during its campaign of rogue Imperial factions.[2]

Around the same time, forces of the New Republic received intelligence from the information merchant known as the Oracle that the 204th was in the Croynar sector. With three systems in the sector considered to have some strategic value, including Midgor, a New Republic starfighter wing was deployed to the system, where its squadrons discovered the ravaged convoy that the 204th had attacked. Calling in the New Republic refitted Star Destroyer Deliverance, the fighter wing assisted the survivors of the convoy.[2]

  3. The events of Victory's Price: An Alphabet Squadron Novel begin after the Cerberon system campaign, and the novel also features the Battle of Jakku at the end of its three main sections. Since Star Wars: Timelines dates both of those conflicts to 5 ABY, the main events of Victory's Price must therefore be set in that year. Furthermore, since the appearance of the Croynar sector in Victory's Price occurs prior to the Battle of Jakku, it must also have taken place that year.
