Capture of Ola Hest

The title of this article is conjectural. Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

By 231 BBY,^[2] during the High Republic Era, the Hutt Clan enforcer Ola Hest^[1] was single-handily^[3] captured by the "Blade of Bardotta"^[1]—the title^[4] held by Jedi Master Porter Engle of the Jedi Order—on^[3] the Hutt Space planet^[5] Nal Hutta.^[3] The capture came after Engle tracked Hest down after she had destroyed a children's medcenter on the astronomical object Novor, which she claimed had been an accident. When he caught up with Hest, Engle dragged her kicking and screaming out of the palace of^[1] the Hutt criminal Gardulla Besadii the Elder.^[6] At one point in the event, Hest was lying on the planet's surface with Engle standing over her with his lightsaber ignited and pointed at her.^[3]

Afterward, Hest was imprisoned on the Galactic Republic prison ship Restitution.^[1] In 231 BBY,^[2] while the Nihil Tempest Runner Lourna Dee was also imprisoned on the Restitution, her fellow prisoner Sestin Blin informed her of Hest's capture by the "Blade of Bardotta."^[1]

The capture of Ola Hest was first mentioned in The High Republic: Tempest Runner, a 2021 audio drama written by Cavan Scott and published as a part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's^[7] Phase I.^[8] The event was later depicted in an episode of Characters of Star Wars: The High Republic—a series of videos that focused on characters within the multimedia project—dedicated to Porter Engle. The episode was posted on the official Star Wars YouTube channel on November 4, 2022.^[3]
