"I do take after Father. Maybe Wicket will look like this one day—"
"If I eat my brub berries? You did pick enough on your hunt."
―Weechee and Wicket Wystri Warrick[1]

Brub berries were a type of berry that grew on brub-brub bushes found on the forest moon of Endor, where the berries were eaten by the sentient Ewok species. During a particularly bleak winter on Endor, a Bright Tree tribe hunting party collected an overflowing basket of brub berries while collecting essential supplies. The Ewok Weechee carried the basket back to Bright Tree Village, where he was spotted by his younger brother Wicket Wystri Warrick, who was pleased to see Weechee relegated to the back of the party carrying the berries rather than the kublag the party had caught.[1]

Warrick assumed Weechee would exaggerate how hard it had been in order to collect the berries, imagining that he would claim the thorns on the brub-brub bush were as big as a kradak's fang. When Weechee later belittled Warrick, the younger brother sarcastically mocked him for only picking berries on the hunt, to which Weechee responded that Warrick would not have been able to even reach the berries due to his short height.[1]

By 34 ABY[3], brub berries had been incorporated into various culinary items found in Black Spire Outpost on the Outer Rim planet Batuu. The berries were incorporated into the alcoholic beverage Nysillin and Bubbles with Brub Berry Essence served at Oga's Cantina[4] and into the Brub Berry Muffin served at Kat Saka's Kettle.[2]

Behind the scenes

Brub berries appeared in "The Kroolok," a short story written by Cavan Scott and George Mann and published in the Life Day Treasury anthology in 2021.[1] They were later introduced as an in-universe ingredient in the real world for guests visiting Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland in Anaheim, California beginning in November, 2024.[5]
