The kradak was a fanged creature found on Endor,[1] a forest moon in the Outer Rim Territories.[2] After the Ewok Weechee returned from a hunting trip during a particularly bleak winter on Endor[1] between 1 BBY and 4 ABY[3] carrying only a basket of brub berries, his brother Wicket Wystri Warrick imagined how Weechee would likely spin the tale of collecting the berries to make it sound more impressive. In Warrick's imagined version of Weechee's story, the Ewok compared the length of the thorns on the brub-brub bush from which the berries were collected to the fangs of a kradak.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the new Star Wars canon, a kradak was mentioned in "The Kroolok," a short story written by Cavan Scott and George Mann and published in the Life Day Treasury anthology in 2021.[1] The creatures originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where they appeared in the "Return of the Great One!," a comic story published in the 1988 Ewoks Annual.[4]

- ↑ Star Wars Adventures: Tales from Vader's Castle 4 depicts Logray before he became shaman of the Bright Tree tribe and is dated to 1 BBY by Star Wars: Timelines. "One Normal Day" depicts Wicket Wystri Warrick as no longer being a wokling and takes place and occurs concurrent with the events of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, which Timelines dates to 4 ABY. As "The Kroolok" depicts Logray as a shaman and Warrick as a wokling, it must take place between these two dates.
