Boz Pity was a planet^[7] located in the Boz Pity system^[5] of the galaxy's Mid Rim.^[1] During the High Republic Era, it was considered a key member of the Galactic Republic, and received a sky-island with a representation of its environment at the Valo Republic Fair.^[6] By the time of the Clone Wars, Boz Pity was largely uninhabited, and the Confederacy of Independent Systems established a presence on it during the conflict, enabling them to frequently strike at nearby Republic targets. It was then subject to a siege by Republic forces;^[7] after the conclusion of the Siege of Saleucami during the Outer Rim Sieges, Jedi General Quinlan Vos moved his troops to support the siege.^[8]

During the reign of the Galactic Empire, the Ghost, a light freighter used by the Spectres, used a false transponder code that stated the freighter had free passage rights between Lothal and Boz Pity.^[9] A Battle of Boz Pity, in which Gial Ackbar was injured, was fought during the Imperial Era.^[10] At some point, Nath Tensent, pilot in the Rebel Alliance and later the New Republic, was involved in a mission on Boz Pity and watched some of his friends die.^[11]

Behind the scenes

Boz Pity was first mentioned in the 2005 film Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.^[8] Boz Pity was originally created and featured in Obsession 4, the fourth issue of the Star Wars Legends comic book series Star Wars: Obsession, written by W. Haden Blackman.^[12]
