The Boldavia system was located in the Expansion Region[1] and the Interior.[2] It was situated in grid square I-9 of the Standard Galactic Grid[1] and was the origin point of[3] the entity known as the Boldavian spit-spine.[4]

Behind the scenes

The Boldavia system was mentioned in[1] the October 13, 2025[5] update to "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com.[1] Both were written by Jason Fry.[6]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas and a number of maps in the current Star Wars canon (see a list here), stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for the Boldavian spit-spine in relation to the Boldavia system.
