Birukay was a barely-populated planet located at the farthest edge of the galaxy in the Outer Rim Territories. Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra would stash the assassin droids BT-1 and 0-0-0 on Birukay, where they remained until they were discovered by Sana Starros, Aphra's companion and ex-lover, and her crew.
Description
Birukay was a planet located in the far edges of the galaxy's[4] Outer Rim Territories.[1] The planet had few residents. It had green-ish oceans, with purple beaches that came right up against its brightly-colorful jungles.[4]
History
At one point, Birukay was home to an avian species that later went extinct.[4]
After Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra betrayed Darth Vader[4] and helped keep the location of the Rebel Alliance's base safe from the Galactic Empire,[5] she stashed her two assassin droids, BT-1 and 0-0-0, on Birukay.[4]
Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY,[6] the criminal syndicate Crimson Dawn learned of the planet's existence and traveled there, though the forces sent were massacred by the two assassin droids. Soon after, a team assembled by Sana Starros that consisted of Korin Aphra, Kho Phon Farrus, Magna Tolvan, and Detta Yao, also traveled to Birukay in search of Aphra, having deduced that the world was significant to Aphra due to a variety of factors. Finding numerous dead bodies, the team were then attacked by more Crimson Dawn personnel, who they killed. Afterwards, the team realized that Aphra left something on the world as a trap to those who sought to follow in her steps, then encountering 0-0-0 and BT-1.[4] After Starros convinced the two droids to join them, the group left Birukay to continue their mission to find Aphra.[7]
