- "Once home to an extinct avian species."
- ―Detta Yao, referring to Birukay
An avian species was native to the planet Birukay and was known to Detta Yao,[1] a Shadow University student.[2] By the time between 3 ABY and 4 ABY,[3] the species had become extinct.[1] During those two years,[3] after making[1] her[2] way to Birukay with a group of individuals, Yao recalled the avian species that had lived on the planet before its extinction.[1]
Behind the scenes
The avian species was mentioned in the twenty-third issue of the 2020 comic series Star Wars: Doctor Aphra. The issue was written by Alyssa Wong and published by Marvel Comics[1] on August 24, 2022.[4]
