Balumbra was the eighth moon of the gas giant Balagash.[2] Around 19 BBY,[3] Senator Bail Organa and the the Imperial Intelligence operative Haki Zeophrine traveled to Balumbra while Organa was investigating the Galactic Empire's framing of the Jedi Order for treason.[2]

Balumbra appeared in the 2025 novel Reign of the Empire: The Mask of Fear, written by Alexander Freed as the first installment of the Star Wars: Reign of the Empire trilogy.[2]
