A B-wing autoblaster firing
The autoblaster was a type of blaster cannon.[1] They were rapid-fire cannons, fitted with advanced XCiters and specialized actuating modules. The weapons were capable of high cyclical rates of fire with each pull of the trigger or push of the button, releasing hails of blaster bolts at a target.[2] By the time of the Galactic Civil War, autoblasters were considered to be archaic weapons.[3]
The Alliance B-wing starfighter was armed with autoblasters mounted under the nose of its cockpit.[4] Ugor Black Hole-class Salvage Dreadnought were armed with scavenged autoblasters.[3] The Millennium Falcon was armed with a hidden autoblaster for ground defense.[1]
