An XCiter, also known as a gas conversion enabler, was a component used in blasters. Blaster gas from the gas chamber was released into the XCiter via the Heter-Valve when the weapon's trigger was pulled. The gas molecules were then excited by the energy released from the blaster's power pack[1] for hand weapons, or attached power generator for larger blasters.[3] The excited gases then moved into the weapon's actuating module.[1] XCiters had a variable pressure adjustor that could regulate how much excited blaster gas entered the actuating module. Improper settings on the adjustor could cause the weapon to overload, misfire, or result in a loss of firepower over time.[2]
