Around 3642 BBY, during the Cold War, the reconstituted Sith Empire orchestrated an attack on the Valor-class cruiser Fortitude, a diplomatic vessel which served as the meeting place for the members of the Rift Alliance separatist group. The members of the Rift Alliance were rescued by the newly-christened Barsen'thor of the Jedi Order.[3]
Aftermath
Following the attack, Imperial ambassador and attache to Coruscant Sammel Yane released a short statement, claiming the Empire had no operations in the Tammuz sector, implying the attackers led by the Sith Arrax were in fact "rogue elements", for which the Empire could not be held accountable.[5]
