Soleil Agra: "Padawan Forian…what is it?"
Aster Forian: "Master Agra…I was sent to retrieve you by the Council. Something's happened. A transmission just came in. The Nihil…they've…"
Elzar Mann: "Just breathe, Aster. What's going on?"
―Soleil Agra, Aster Forian, and Elzar Mann[1]

Aster Forian was a human Padawan of the Jedi Order during the High Republic Era. In 230 BBY, Forian was in the Jedi Temple on the Core Worlds planet Coruscant when the Nihil marauders created a hyperspace barrier known as the Stormwall. After receiving a transmission from the Nihil leader Marchion Ro, the Jedi High Council dispatched the Padawan to retrieve Jedi Master Soleil Agra.

Rushing to find Agra, Forian located her in the temple talking to Jedi Master Elzar Mann and attempted to explain what had happened but struggled due to shock. Mann calmed the Padawan down, and Forian informed them about the Stormwall's formation and the destruction of a Republic Defense Coalition fleet when it became operational.

Biography

"The Nihil have sealed off a huge sector of the Outer Rim behind something they're calling the Stormwall. You can't get through it in hyperspace, and communications can't pass through it either. It destroyed an entire Republic Defense Coalition fleet when it activated!"

Aster Forian was a human who served as a Jedi Padawan of the Jedi Order during the High Republic Era.[1] In 230 BBY,[2] one week after the destruction of the Galactic Republic space station Starlight Beacon by the Nihil marauders, Forian was present at the Jedi Temple on[1] the Core Worlds planet[3] Coruscant when the Nihil sealed off a large portion of the Outer Rim and left it stranded behind a hyperspace barrier known as the Stormwall. Following this, Forian was sent by the Jedi High Council to retrieve Jedi Master Soleil Agra, as a transmission from the Nihil's leader, Marchion Ro, had come in.[1]

The Padawan found Agra, along with Jedi Master Elzar Mann, talking at one of the Jedi Temple's terraces and rushed to the Masters. Agra spotted Forian and asked them what the matter was. In response, the Padawan informed[1] her[3] of their assignment by the Jedi Council, noting that something significant had occurred and that a transmission had been received. When trying to explain what the marauders had done, the Padawan struggled because of shock. In response, Mann told Forian to breathe before[1] he[3] asked the Padawan what was going on.[1]

Forian then explained to the two Jedi Masters about the Nihil's creation of the Stormwall and informed them they could not travel through it in hyperspace or send communications through it. The Padawan finished by noting that a fleet of the Republic Defense Coalition had been destroyed when the Stormwall had been activated.[1]

Personality and traits

Aster Forian had blue eyes, light skin, and black hair. When they found Jedi Master Soleil Agra, the Padawan had a bewildered expression and was unable to at first explain about the Nihil's creation of the Stormwall. After Jedi Master Elzar Mann calmed them down, however, Forian was able to inform them of what had happened.[1]

Powers and abilities

As a member of the Jedi Order, Aster Forian was Force-sensitive and trained to wield the Force.[1]

Equipment

The Padawan wore white and gold Jedi robes and had a Padawan braid. Forian wore a green-colored sash[1] that was the same color as their lightsaber.[4]

Behind the scenes

Aster Forian appeared in the second issue of the 2023 comic miniseries Star Wars: The High Republic – Shadows of Starlight, released as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[5] The issue was written by Charles Soule, illustrated by Marika Cresta, and published by Marvel Comics on November 8, 2023.[6]
