- "The Sith have no Seeds, since what they Bury does not Grow. They are the Despoilers of Worlds, and have Laid to Waste once Fertile Habitats such as Korriban, Ziost, Ixigul, Asog, and Others."
- ―Kli the Elder, Rammahgon
Asog was a terrestrial[3] planet[4] located in the Asog system, a part of the Esstran sector of the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the New Territories.[2] It was situated in grid square Q-4 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
At one point, Asog was a fertile habitat. Sometime prior to the composition of the Jedi book Rammahgon[3] at least five thousand years before the Battle of Yavin,[5] adherents of the Sith tradition of Force-users rendered Asog barren, which was subsequently noted by the Jedi Kli the Elder in a chapter of the Rammahgon.[3]
Behind the scenes
Asog was first mentioned in Michael Kogge's 2020 junior novelization of[3] the 2019 sequel trilogy film Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker.[6]
