- "There have been unsubstantiated reports of a number of possible candidates. One, a Talpini spotted by Togruta intelligence on Ashas Rine."
- ―Stellan Gios
Ashas Rine was a terrestrial astronomical object[4] located in the Ashas Rine system within the Mortex sector of[3] the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the New Territories.[2] It was situated in grid square R-5 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
In the aftermath of the Valo Atrocity[4] in 231 BBY,[5] the Talpini Nihil Tempest Runner Zeetar was spotted by Togruta intelligence on Ashas Rine. The Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic had identified[4] him[6] as a potential candidate for becoming Eye of the Nihil in the wake of the presumed death of Lourna Dee,[4] another Tempest Runner they had mistaken as the Nihil's leader,[6] at the Battle of Galov. Jedi Master Stellan Gios reported on the sighting of Zeetar at a briefing at the Starlight Beacon space station, displaying a hologram image of the Tempest Runner on Ashas Rine.[4]
