Artemesium was a terrestrial planet[3] located in the Mid Rim Territories[1] and the Slice[2] regions of the galaxy, within the Lifh sector's Artemesium system. It was situated in grid square R-8 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] Artemesium had a a breathable atmosphere. A future Inquisitor of the Galactic Empire's Inquisitorius known as the Fifth Brother lived on the planet with his family until he was taken in by the Jedi Order.[3]
When the Fifth Brother was young, the Galactic Senate decided that his homeworld would be stripped of its resources in order to save lives, and the resulting exploitation, which itself also cost lives, left Artemesium ruined.[3] Sometime between 12 BBY and 11 BBY,[4] as the Fifth Brother received a mission from The Grand Inquisitor to travel to Murkhana City on the Outer Rim Territories planet Murkhana and retrieve the schematics for a cloaking device known as the Shroud, he reflected on his past on Artemesium and the planet's fate.[3]
Behind the scenes
Artemesium was first mentioned in the 2023 novel Jedi: Battle Scars, written by Sam Maggs.[3]

- ↑ Jedi: Battle Scars dates itself to a few years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order which take place in 14 BBY per Star Wars: Timelines. Therefore, the events of Jedi: Battle Scars must take place in 12 BBY at the earliest. Additionally, the novel dates itself within the years before Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the events of which take place in 9 BBY per the reasoning here. Within Jedi: Survivor, it is also noted the Stinger Mantis crew has been broken up for "years." As the crew are together in Jedi: Battle Scars, the latest it can take place is 11 BBY. Therefore, the events of Jedi: Battle Scars occur between 12 and 11 BBY.
