Zam Wesell wearing Mabari armorweave
Armorweave was an armored cloth material capable of dissipating blaster bolts, and with at least limited resistance to lightsaber attacks. Bounty hunters, mercenaries, and the counts of Serenno traditionally wore capes[1] and jackets made out of armorweave. General Grievous and his IG-100 MagnaGuard bodyguards wore armorweave,[2] and Darth Vader's cape was also made of this material.[3] The Clawdite assassin Zam Wesell wore a suit of Mabari armorweave.[4] The bodysuit under Mandalorian armor was made of armorweave.
Behind the scenes
As a flexible material used to make armor wearable as typical clothes, armorweave has similarities to the real-world material Kevlar, famous for its use in modern bulletproof vests.
