The Aris system was a star system located in the Albarrio sector of the Outer Rim Territories. It was located in grid square K-5 on the Standard Galactic Grid[1] and contained the planet Aris.[2]

Behind the scenes

Aris originated in the 1989 roleplaying book Riders of the Maelstrom,[4] and was recanonized by its mention in the 2019 Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary.[5] Aris was located in the Albarrio system in the Star Wars Legends continuity,[4] but the 2025 "Star Systems of the Galaxy" appendix introduced both an Albarrio system and an Aris system, both located in the Albarrio sector.[1] The concept of the Aris and Albarrio system being distinct systems was first suggested in the unlicensed article "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, How I Wonder Where We Are" in 1990.[6]

Same galaxy, same map. In the rare event something needs to be changed, it will be discussed. (In response to: Hi @jasoncfry.bsky.social, was hoping you could confirm for Wookieepedia purposes that the hyperspace routes depicted on the Galaxy Map given out at Celebration are intended to be the same routes as in Legends. Sorry to bother, but would make our lives much easier to have it confirmed!)" (screenshot).
