- "Following the attack on Valo, the Unified Republic Task Force has tackled Nihil marauders on Aris, Port Haven, and Golrath. They're running scared."
- ―Jedi Master Stellan Gios
Aris was a rustic[4] terrestrial[3] planet[4] located in the Aris system in the Outer Rim Territories' Albarrio sector,[1] along the[5] Braxant Run hyperspace route.[2] During the High Republic Era, Aris was one of the locations where the Unified Republic Task Force dealt with Nihil marauders in the aftermath of the attack on Valo.[3] It was the homeworld of the human Resistance member Byrco Hansid.[4]
Behind the scenes
Aris originated in the 1989 roleplaying book Riders of the Maelstrom,[6] and was recanonized by its mention in the 2019 Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary.[4] Aris was located in the Albarrio system in the Star Wars Legends continuity,[6] but the 2025 "Star Systems of the Galaxy" appendix introduced both an Albarrio system and an Aris system, both located in the Albarrio sector.[1]

Where in the Galaxy Are the Worlds of Rogue One? on StarWars.com (article) (backup link), applies to the canon hyperspace route depicted on the map that matches the depiction of the Star Wars Legends route with the same name in The Essential Atlas per Jason Fry (@jasoncfry.bsky.social.) on Bluesky (post on January 3, 2025): "They are indeed the same. Same galaxy, same map. In the rare event something needs to be changed, it will be discussed. (In response to: Hi @jasoncfry.bsky.social, was hoping you could confirm for Wookieepedia purposes that the hyperspace routes depicted on the Galaxy Map given out at Celebration are intended to be the same routes as in Legends. Sorry to bother, but would make our lives much easier to have it confirmed!)" (screenshot).
