The Arbooine system was located in the Arboo sector, a part of the freestanding subsectors portion of the Outer Rim Territories in grid square T-17 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] It contained the terrestrial celestial body Arbooine, the surface of which featured forests and was home to the venomous bearsloth arboreal predator.[2]
Behind the scenes
The Arbooine system was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[3]
The star system containing the planet Arbooine was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity as the Arboo system. It made its first appearance and was named in Chronicles of the Gatekeeper, a 2015 adventure published by Fantasy Flight Games for use with the Star Wars: Force and Destiny roleplaying game system.[4] Prior to the adventure's publication on November 5,[5] Arbooine was first pictured in an article previewing the product that was published on August 18, 2015 on Fantasy Flight Games' official website.[6] In Chronicles of the Gatekeeper, Arbooine was depicted in several illustrations, including ones by[4] Tiffany Turrill[4][7][8] and Ben Zweifel.[4][9][10]
