- "Some species are more resistant to radiation. Are any of those on board, Forfive?"
"One of the maintenance supervisors, Ar Prace, is a Fian. But it appears she was on the top half of the station when Starlight split in two." - ―Elzar Mann and JJ-5145
Ar Prace was a Fian who served as a maintenance supervisor aboard the Galactic Republic space station Starlight Beacon during the High Republic Era. Due to her species, Prace was more resistant to radiation than[1] a human.[2] In 230 BBY,[3] Prace was on the station's upper half when it was sabotaged by the Nihil pirates, and as it plummeted towards the planet Eiram, the station split apart, with the top half disintegrating.[1]
The human Jedi Master Elzar Mann and the logistics droid JJ-5145 attempted to reach the positional thrusters on the station's bottom half to free themselves from Eiram's gravitational pull. Due to radiation, however, it was not possible for Mann to reach the thruster's controls or radiation suits. In response, the Jedi Master asked JJ-5145 if any members of more radiation-resistant species were aboard. The droid mentioned Prace, briefly giving Mann hope, but noted she had been on the top half. Afterward, the Jedi mentally noted he had yet to reckon with Prace.[1]
Behind the scenes
