The Fian were a sentient species that lived in the galaxy that possessed a higher resistance to radiation than that of humans. During the High Republic Era, Ar Prace, a female Fian, served as a maintenance supervisor aboard the Galactic Republic space station Starlight Beacon until its destruction[1] around 230 BBY.[2]
Behind the scenes
The Fian were first canonically mentioned in the 2022 novel The High Republic: The Fallen Star, written by Claudia Gray for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Fian species (plural Fia)[3] originated in the 1996 novel Before the Storm, the first book in the Black Fleet Crisis trilogy, written by Michael P. Kube-McDowell.[4]
