Amaltanna was a planet[2] within the Amaltanna system, a star system in the Kanz sector of the Outer Rim Territories.[1] It was believed to be far from anything or anyone important, according to its own inhabitants, but nevertheless it became the site of the devastating Battle of Amaltanna during the Clone Wars. In the end, the Galactic Republic won over the Confederacy of Independent Systems, but the extent of the damage was so severe that its inhabitants were relocated as refugees to worlds such as Naboo and Alderaan.[2]

Behind the scenes

Amaltanna appeared in "Galactic Tales: The Failing of the Light," a short story by Adam Lance Garcia that was published in issue 233 of Star Wars Insider magazine[2] on August 19, 2025.[3]
