- "Perhaps it's just the cost of peace. That it's hard won. That it hurts because it's worthwhile. Worth fighting for. Precious."
"We need to be better, Aida. All of us. We need to recognize what we have and help the galaxy cling on to it."
"We will. The Jedi Order, the Republic—we'll find a way. One day, we'll be the beacon of peace that the galaxy needs. But we're not there yet. In the meantime, we have to do all we can and hope it's enough." - ―Aida Forte and Creighton Sun
Aida Forte was a Kadas'sa'Nikto female who served as a Jedi Knight during the High Republic Era.[3] In 382 BBY,[6] Forte attended the Wedding of Phan-tu Zenn and Xiri A'lbaran on Eiram and helped with the search for fugitive and saboteur Axel Greylark as well as fighting bounty hunters that had arrived at the wedding in search of Greylark.[2] Afterward, Forte and Jedi Master Creighton Sun traveled to the moon Jedha with delegations from the planets Eiram and E'ronoh, where the delegations were to sign a treaty during a summit to end the war between the two planets. However, the summit failed and the city erupted into the Battle of Jedha, Forte and Sun fighting alongside the Guardians of the Whills to mitigate loss of life.[5] After the battle was over, Forte and Sun decided to travel to Dalna to investigate the Path of the Open Hand cult, who were believed to have incited the Battle of Jedha, alongside Jedi Master Yaddle. They discovered that the Path had many weapons including the bioweapon klytobacter and the living weapons that preyed on Force-sensitives called the Nameless. After even more Jedi arrived on Dalna to investigate, the Path attacked the Jedi beginning the Night of Sorrow, a devastating battle in which Forte lost her life. She was remembered in a funeral at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant alongside other fallen Jedi.[3]
