At some point before 4 ABY,[2] the Gand Zuckuss was a member of a clan on the planet Gand. The clan also contained Zimbokk, Korgoss, Garkung, a Master Findsman, Zuckuss' mother, and a number of other hatchlings. Before he undertook the Great Rite, Zuckuss began to have doubts and went missing. After he was found by his mother and told he should be preparing for the rite, Zuckuss questioned if he had to go, to which his mother informed him it was crucial for the future of their clan. Zuckuss' mother comforted him and he eventually agreed to undertake the rite. After Zuckuss failed the rite, he was cast out of the clan by the Master Findsman.[1]
