Garkung was a Gand who was a member of the same clan as Zuckuss.[1] At some point before 4 ABY,[2] members of the clan were to undertake the Great Rite to become a Findsman. After Zuckuss arrived for the rite, Garkung told him that he should have stayed away, as being the eldest it was for Garkung to become the next Findsman to lead their clan. Once the Gand were given their task for the rite, to recover a T'karra flower from the nesting grounds of the charon, they set out to find the flowers. After they arrived at the nesting grounds, Garkung found a flower and took it, declaring they would become the next Master Findsman, before they were stabbed to death by a charon.[1]

As Garkung was killed on Gand prior to the events of Bounty Hunters 32, they must have died by 4 ABY.
