The Heter-Valve, commonly referred to as an energy converter valve, was a blaster component. Pulling the trigger on the weapon opened the Heter-Valve, allowing blaster gas to flow from the gas chamber into the XCiter.[1] A damaged Heter-Valve could release too much gas into the XCiter; while this could increase the weapon's damage per shot, it also increased the chance of an overload that could destroy the blaster.[2]
