Wukkar was a celestial body located in the Core Worlds[1] and the Interior's[2] Wukkar system,[3] situated in grid square L-10 of the Standard Galactic Grid. The Corellian Run hyperspace route connected Wukkar to the Dutar system and[1] the planet[4] Coruscant.[1]
In 231 BBY,[5] a shuttle of excited schoolchildren from Wukkar traveled to the Outer Rim planet Valo to attend its Republic Fair. Upon arrival to the world's atmosphere, space traffic controller Milon Thakkery granted permission for the vessel to land. However, the fair was attacked by the Nihil marauder organization moments afterward.[6]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, Wukkar was first mentioned in the 2021 novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm, written by Cavan Scott[6] for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I.[7] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Wukkar was a Core Worlds planet first introduced in Dark Empire Sourcebook, a 1993 supplement by Michael Allen Horne that was released by West End Games for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[8] The planet later made its first full appearance in Scoundrels, a 2013 novel written by Timothy Zahn.[9]
