darth sion should be nominated. hes one of the coolest sith ever. because of his pain, he gained dark side power, which kept him alive, which caused him to be in pain, which gave him dark side power, and so on. also he was one of the strongest sith ever

He is not a great sith. Sion fail to the Exile through words. What game were you playing, Sion went down very easy. I fought him four times and not once did he get not below half of my life. He wasn't that great. Don't get me wrong Darth vader was the man.Maybe it was the actor, but I could not see him turing into Darth vader. Lucase never showed how good he was or how he got to that status. And AOTCS really messed up his career.

I was thinking that maybe a new category box (you know, the things that sit on the top of a page, like {{IDRIVE}}) for the articles nominated to be the Coolest thing ever? Sorta like this:

Can we please, please, make a list of the finalists (those with 10 or so votes), so we can stop adding 1-vote things? It takes the page FOREVER to load, and kind of removes the entire purpose, especially when these new 1-vote answers have no chance of actually moving up. Then, once it's moved, we can restart the entire thing (with just those options that have 10 or so votes) and have a "revote" in a way - clear the slate(s).   • It doesn't make things that much slower. At least, not on my computer. But anyway, I don't think that's a really good idea. People are still cranking out new ideas, and they should be given the chance. Some of them do move up. I'm working on one or two even now. Plus, there's a lot of really great stuff that inexplicably hasn't picked up that many votes. All but one of the female characters, for instance, have less than 10 votes going for them. Tatooine not in the nominees?!?

Well, I'm just surprised that Tatooine doesn't appear in the list of nominees, it's surely one of the most important elements of the Star Wars mythology... and it's also my favourite planet. :p Kaal 13:46, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

Confused Voting

This is pretty amusing. Approximately thirty-five people have voted Chewbacca's death for "Lamest Thing Ever", and yet only four have voted Chewbacca for "Coolest Thing Ever". And I happen to know that guy who nominated Chewbacca for "Coolest Thing Ever" did not vote on his death for "Lamest Thing Ever". Huh. Wonder what's going on here?   • The former may have thought Chewie was retroactively ruined by his lame death, and the latter may have thought everything about Chewie was cool up to and including his death (a planet fell on his head, which is pretty spectacular after all.)   • Do you mean your vote came up but it didn't change the number displayed at the top? You have to do that manually. If the topic has 9 votes already, then it will say (9 votes) at the top. If you add a 10th vote, then it will have 10 votes, but the top will still read (9 votes) unless you replace the 9 with a 10. Hope you understood that. Jedi Pacifist 16:10, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

Top Five

  • It is completely idiotic to be able to vote for more than one option in the Top 5 stretch. How is that showing an honest result? For the top 5, everyone should get one vote, and the one with the most votes wins. - JMAS 03:53, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
    • It was supposed to be only one vote in the Top 5, according to the Mofference. However, Cull Tremayne changed it (b/c I haven't been here) without putting that rule in place. So voting will either have to be cleared or something. —Xwing328(Talk) 03:58, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
      • I'd be willing to go back and clear it out and change the page to reflect there only being one vote per person in the Top 5, but how do we make a Wookieepedia-wide announcement to let people know they have to go re-vote? Feeling nostalgic

So am I the only one who misses the unlimited voting of the first round? You know, where you could vote on absolutely anything? That was fun. This top 10, top 5 stuff is sort of like we're supposed to pick and choose which nominee we think is cooler than others. Why can't Darth Vader be just as cool as HK-47, Lightsabers, The Imperial March, and Anakin Skywalker, Duel of the Fates, "May the Force be With You", The Empire Strikes back, and so many other things.

Also, I notice that no female characters made it to the top 10, let alone the top 5. Shows you what we've come to.

Really, though, why do we need one week for the top 10 round and nearly two months for the top 5? If we needed to have a top 10 and top 5 round, why not leave them both to the last two or three weeks of the vote?

  • It was decided in the mofference to narrow it down to the top 10, then top 5, in order to clear up the mass confusion of the page and focus our votes. If you'll notice, I didn't actually move it to the top 5 on the 4th, like I was supposed to. I (unofficially) figured I'd give it a bit more time.
