Crystals are used to upgrade equipment and crew members. Items can only be upgraded after reaching its level cap, which is done using Materials. All crystals have a type and/or elemental attribute. Each crystal then has up to seven levels, each with its own unique stats. These include:

• Sell Value - Galactic Credits the crystal can be sold for.
• Upgrade Cost - Number of credits it costs to upgrade the crystal.
• Use Price - Number of credits it costs to use the crystal on a piece of equipment or crew member.
