Jonash e Solo
- Nominated by: Grand Moff Tranner

- Nomination comments: Another random Warfare nom, because I felt like it. He's almost certainly Human and an ancestor of Han, but the source doesn't confirm either.

Object
- I object! The article's name is using a Portuguese connector word!
I understand that we're supposed to get there from the "Prince", but even so, I believe the gender should be explicitly mentioned in the body.Winterz (talk) 02:18, January 3, 2013 (UTC)- Originally, I planned to do that (since that's what I always do), but I found "male individual" or "the male Prince-Admiral" to be a little awkward when introducing him in the Bio. That's why I chose to mention his gender in the P&T instead. I'd rather not change that bit, but if you feel it is absolutely necessary, I suppose I could see what I could do. Grand Moff Tranner

Well I've got to be honest with you, from my point of view introducing the "Prince-Admiral" right away seems a bit...weird. "Prince-Admiral Jonash e Solo of the planet Corellia served as a leader of the Corellian military (...)" sounds as if he was born with that title while "Jonash e solo was an individual male from the planet Corellia who served as a Prince-Admiral, the leader of the Corellian military (...)" (or something within these lines) would sound so much better and would use both the gender and the title in a more subtle way. But anyway, that's my less-experienced view and if you think that the way it is, should remain equal, I'm okay with that assessment and will present my support regardless.Winterz (talk) 02:40, January 3, 2013 (UTC)- I changed it around a bit; see what you think. Just for clarification, the only reason I presented his title immediately was to avoid starting both the intro and the Bio with his name - not a big deal, but I like a little variety every now and then. :p Grand Moff Tranner

Toprawa
A minor question about his name. Should his last name be considered "Solo" or "e Solo"? I liken this to Spanish surnames that include "de" or "de los" in them. For example, in "De Aza" or "de los Santos," the "De" and "de los" parts are definitely formally considered a part of their last name. If his last name is "e Solo," that would necessitate some revisions throughout the article.Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 19:54, January 3, 2013 (UTC)- I figured calling him "Solo" would suffice, but I changed every instance of "Solo" to either "The Prince-Admiral" or simply "he" since the source isn't clear on this matter. - Fair enough, but you still have the DEFAULTSORT category template, which is what raised the question in my mind in the first place. :P It should either be "Solo, Jonash e" or "e Solo, Jonash." I leave it up to your best guess. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 20:02, January 3, 2013 (UTC)
- Bah! Forgot about that. Perhaps categorizing it as "e Solo, Jonash" would be best, but admittedly I am not sure which way is correct. Grand Moff Tranner

- I took a look at Wikipedia and for this portuguese case, the "e" isn't used in the DEFAULTSORT at all. Considering that "e" in portuguese works equally as "and" in english, I'd say that the best thing to do is to ignore it from the DEFAULTSORT as Wikipedia does, but that's just what I think. Winterz (talk) 20:13, January 3, 2013 (UTC)
- If we didn't also have Jonash Solo, I think I'd probably be ok with that. But it might be best to include it for our purposes for the sake of differentiating between the two. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 20:22, January 3, 2013 (UTC)
- Well, either way, I think I should be ok with what you choose, Tranner. I'm good with how it is now, at any rate. Good work on the article. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 20:44, January 3, 2013 (UTC)
