- "His name was Dalla Solo, but he changed his name to Dalla Suul to hide his identity during the Clone Wars. His firstborn son was Jonash Suul, and the first son of Jonash Suul was named Han Suul—who changed his name back to Han Solo."
- ―C-3PO
Jonash Suul was a Human male who was the firstborn son of Denn Solo and Tira Gama Solo, the twin brother of Tiion Sal-Solo, and the father of Han Solo.
Biography
When he was an infant, he and his father were kidnapped by pirates during a raid on Tralus. He escaped and married a woman named Jaina. The two later had a son who he named Han Solo. Jonash Suul and Jaina disappeared early in their son's life, rendering Han an orphan by the age of seven.
Behind the scenes
Jonash Suul was first mentioned in The Courtship of Princess Leia.[1] During the development of Star Wars: The Han Solo Trilogy, author A. C. Crispin was faced with the challenge of trying to explain how Han Solo discovered his cousin, Thracken Sal Solo, without ever knowing anything about his parents, even their names.[3]
