- "Well, that's it for another year folks. Enjoy the rest of the day. Oh! And keep an eye out for Wedge-themed products at my merchandise stall. Fantastic value, and all profits go to, um, the pilot-specific veteran support fund."
- ―Wedge Antilles
A merchandise stall with products themed around the New Republic pilot Wedge Antilles operated in Hanna City[1] on the planet Chandrila[2] at some point between 8 ABY and 34 ABY.[3] During the Hanna City Flight Academy's annual end-of-year family race, the stall featured a model of an X-wing starfighter and a hologram of Antilles that individuals could take a photo with. A red-plated astromech droid and two cam droids were present at the stall with patrons shortly before the race began. At the conclusion of the race, Antilles reminded the crowd to keep an eye out for the stall, stating that the products had fantastic value and that all profits went toward the pilot-specific veteran support fund.[1]
Behind the scenes
The merchandise stall first appeared in "I Am Your Mother," a non-canon short film released as part of the second volume of the Star Wars: Visions series. The animated short, produced by Aardman Animations, was released on Disney+[1] on May 4, 2023.[4] Aurelien Predal and Andy Janes created concept art of the stall featuring Aurebesh reading "the legend" and "Wedge x." The art referred to the hologram as "holo-Wedge" and the X-Wing as his "Wedge-wing."[5]
