The end-of-year family race was a special racing event held at the Hanna City Flight Academy hosted by Wedge Antilles.[2]
Behind the Scenes
The end-of-year family race first appeared in the Aardman short "I Am Your Mother". Starting from the Hanna City Flight Academy through the city and before the final stretch across the desert, Aurelien Predal created 3D mock-ups of the ships, schools and city to incredibly map out the circuit of the race, ending up to be a great, useful tool of comminutation while Predal quickly provide compositions and images with the storyboard department at Aardman, lead by head of story Adrian Magnza, to provide impact changes from the rough layout of Hanna City when necessary from the art and CG departments.[3]
