The Warthogs were a sentient species. They were notable for their long snouts and tusks. One Warthog served as a pirate for Captain Gorian Shard onboard his corsair[1] while another Warthog pirate was a member of Silvo's pirates.[2]
Behind the scenes
The Warthog species first appeared in the first episode of the third season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian. The species was identified in the credits for the episode.[1] In the real world Warthogs (Phacochoerus) are a genus of pig with a similar looking head, native to sub-Saharan Africa.
