The Vulcusion sector was located in[1] the Western Reaches portion of[2] the Expansion Region. It contained the Vulcusion system,[1] which shared its name with the confrontation known as the Battle of Vulcusion.[4]

By 0 ABY, the Vulcusion sector bordered the Alchenaut sector eastward and formed a four-way border with the Hakartha, Bes Ber Bikade, and Rocantor sectors at its northwestern reaches. To the south, the Vulcusion sector constituted the Expansion Region's Rimward boundary with Mid Rim's Eidoloni and Spirva sectors.[3]

Behind the scenes

The Vulcusion sector was established in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas.[1] In 2012, the sector was depicted on a map designed by Modi and published in the Online Companion feature "Essential Atlas Extra: Expansion Region," which placed it in grid squares L-15 and L-16.[3]
