The Vorc sector was a sector in the Mid Rim Territories that contained the Bezim, Junction, Station 88, and Vicondor systems in grid square J-7 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] The Celanon Spur hyperspace route connected the Vicondor system to the Dorin system and the Vortex system.[3]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, the Vorc sector was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published alongside the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[4] The sector originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in Tales of the Jedi Companion, a 1996 Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game supplement written by George R. Strayton and published by West End Games.[5] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Fry and Daniel Wallace, then placed the Junction system in the Vorc sector,[6] retroactively making the system's appearance in Jude Watson's 2003 novel Legacy of the Jedi the sector's first appearance.[7]

This assumes that the name "Celanon Spur," as used in Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon 48 Guide to the Galaxy: Visiting Ord Mantell, applies to the canon hyperspace route depicted on the map that matches the depiction of the Star Wars Legends route with the same name in The Essential Atlas per BlueskyLogo Jason Fry (@jasoncfry.bsky.social.) on Bluesky (post on January 3, 2025): "They are indeed the same. Same galaxy, same map. In the rare event something needs to be changed, it will be discussed. (In response to: Hi @jasoncfry.bsky.social, was hoping you could confirm for Wookieepedia purposes that the hyperspace routes depicted on the Galaxy Map given out at Celebration are intended to be the same routes as in Legends. Sorry to bother, but would make our lives much easier to have it confirmed!)" (screenshot).
