Volkarans were a sentient species that existed in the galaxy. Elan Rast was a member of this species.[1]

The Volkarans were a bipedal[2] humanoid sentient species distinguished by their green skin,[1] green eyes,[2] and lump-covered craniums.[1]

One member of this species, Elan Rast, served as a member of the Jedi Order, reaching the rank of Jedi Master, training a human padawan named Tensu Run, and retreating to the Voyager Dawn, before he was slain[1] between 14 BBY and 9 BBY, Voyager Dawn[3] by the Grand Inquisitor during the Great Jedi Purge.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Volkarans made their debut in the first issue of the Star Wars: Inquisitors comic run, which released on July 3, 2024,[4] though they were not identified until Free Comic Book Day 2025: Star Wars 1, released on May 3, 2025.[5]
