The Volik system was located in the Unknown Regions in grid square H-7 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Volik system was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[2] The system was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity via illustrations of the planet Volik in the 2010 Wizards of the Coast's Star Wars Roleplaying Game sourcebook The Unknown Regions[3] as well as Volik's appearance in the roleplaying mini-adventure "The Mask of Darth Nihilus" that was included in the book.[4] The system was subsequently identified in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry.[5]
