This article is about the business. You may be looking for the billboard advertisement on Coruscant, or the billboard advertisement on Pantora.

A video store was, presumably, a business that rented holodramas. They were common on the planet Coruscant, where a series of billboards were put up in order to advertise them, and attract potential customers.[1] One video store was located at the corner of twelfth and G on Level 1312, next to a hotel building, although the sign was upside-down,[3] and another sign was lying dumped on the ground nearby.[4] Another video store was located on Level 1313, although once again, the sign was upside-down. Yet another video store was located at the wharf, where several signs were put up on a building lying next to a lake.[5]

Video stores were also present in the central marketplace of Ro Station on Pantora, which featured a similar series of billboards, but with a different motif. The stylized multicolored motif featured on the Pantoran billboards, resembling a kneeling figure,[2] was also featured on an alcoholic beverage served on Coruscant.[6]

One video store was known as Pawp and was present on both Coruscant[7] and Pantora,[2] where a third set of billboards was used to advertise the business.[7]

Behind the scenes

The video store billboards on Pantora in the Star Wars: The Bad Batch episode "Cornered" are not legible in the episode; however, the font and the text at the top[2] has the same design as the one seen on billboards in Star Wars: The Clone Wars,[1] and if you compare them, you can see that it is the same text.[2]
