The Vasha system was located in the Moddell sector, a subsector of the Zuma sector of the Outer Rim Territories in grid square H-16 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] It was linked by the Houche Run hyperspace route to the Maya Kovel system, while another route connected it to Vex system.[2] The Vasha system was depicted on a map of the Moddell sector included with the Rebel Alliance collection of non-electronic documents known as The Rebel Files.[3]

Behind the scenes

The Vasha system was introduced in the current Star Wars canon via a mention in the eighteenth issue of De Agostini's Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine,[2] which was published around May 6, 2015.[4] It was then identified by name in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[5] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Vasha system was introduced in the ninth issue of Wizards of the Coast's Star Wars Gamer magazine[6] on February 22, 2002.[7]

In the magazine, the system was mentioned in the article "Endor and the Moddell Sector," which was published for use with the Star Wars Roleplaying Game.[6] In the same magazine, the system's planet Vasha also made a full appearance in the roleplaying adventure "Race for the Tessent," in which it was illustrated by Ramón Pérez.[8]
