Valahari was a planet[3] located in grid square N-5 of the Standard Galactic Grid, in the Valahari system of the Valahari sector, a part of the D'Astan sector in the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the New Territories.[2] Around the time of the Clone Wars,[3] a conflict fought between 22 BBY and 19 BBY][4] by the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the planet achieved fame for its native starfighter aces and engineers.[3] Valahari shared its name with the Valahari flight harness, a type of flight harness that saw use during the Clone Wars as well as by the smuggler Corus Kapellim during the war between the First Order and the Resistance.[5]
Behind the scenes
Valahari was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in Rise of the Separatists, a 2019 supplement to Fantasy Flight Games' series of Star Wars Roleplaying products.[3] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Valahari first appeared in the tenth issue of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars comic-book series, authored by Henry Gilroy and Steven Melching, illustrated by Brian Koschak, and published by Dark Horse Comics[6] on November 11, 2009.[7]
