Lightsaber spelling

I know these Americans can't spell properly but the WP:MOS policy is that American English should be used so we should stick to that (although I admit I sometimes forget). Besides, lightsaber is a Lucas word so should be spelt (note the British spelling) how he wants. Green Tentacle (Talk) 11:57, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

Hey, this is Aron Skywalker. thanks for the tips for my wiki. I just wanna ask y has it been deleted? i find it of relitive importance and needed in wookieepedia. I've read the palpatine wiki and it is all mentioned every breifly, I beleve my wiki gives an insight into the topic alot. To answer your other question im into all of star wars. Not just the saga which everyone knows of, i like to learn of the stuff that people dont know of. i adore the mystery and wierd focus needed to follow star wars. I never knew the star wars world was this vast! until i went to wikipedia and to this site! its very overwhelimng at first. Any ways please take into consideration wat i said of keeping my wiki up. Careful of spelling errors. I keep finding them in articles you've contributed to, even after I thought they'd been eliminated in the Great Typo Hunt. HI, thanks for your message. I've just looked at the Jar Jar article, and I think it's good enough for an FA.nomination. I did, however, remove the parts mentioning "bad English". As a linguist, I cannpt accept notions such as "bad" and "good" variants of a language. An alternative could be "standard" and "non-standard" varieties of English. If you want the remarks on English back in, I emplore you to use those terms in stead of "bad" and "good" English. I've also added some more comments on him speaking a pidgin (and a link to a blog discussing this very topic), and finally a wee reference to Star Bores in which Jar Jar is spoofed.     • I don't see anything wrong with the Jar Jar article. You know, some of these people have strange requirements as to what can be an FA. They complain if it's too short, and at the same time they complain about an article like Palpatine being too long. KEJ 11:05, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

        • Personally, I think the Palpatine article is one of the best on Wookieepedia. I'm not criticizing people for arguing that it's too long. I am merely pointing out the impression of inconsistency it gives that some of the same people who complain that it's too long also object against FA nominations for being too short.   • I have looked over Panaka and expanded it somewhat. You might want to look at it one more time. I assure you it is all canon, and should dispel some of the length objections. Hey elipsis, could I get a little clarification on your objection to Chik Apla as a good article? I thought the article read fine when I looked over it again. Palpatine

Just wanted to tell you that you're not the only one who thinks that a conclusion section in an article is unwarranted. I completely agree, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. It's just that I, and plenty of others I can assure you, just glaze over edits to Palpatine, as it has become this impervious thing, with edits to it being immediately deleted due to the Erik Fan Mod Squad. Not to say that he's not a great writer, and he is, just that it's the closest an article has ever come to being the absolute possession of one writer. Cull Tremayne 04:12, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

Talk header template

How about the addition of an archive thingie for {{talkheader}} (pretty much attaching the archive thingie used on for example Talk:Darth Vader to the template)?     • Hey, you don't have to explain that to me :P. I don't understand why people don't wait until they can edit the whole thing in one fell swoop. So it will seem like they're working or something, is my theory. If you're going to update an article, the fewer edits you do it in, the better, in my opinion. At least then we can see who added what when and where instead of having to sift through fifty edits by the same person (Ataru I'm looking at you :D).
