REPLY Clarification

Hey Mia! happy to hear from you, thanks for the reply! I saw your comment on Padmé Amidala's talk page, though I only noticed after I responded there that I had an alert on my talk page lol. I think you're giving a bit of a bad rep to everyone in the pride channel, a lot of users were supportive. I think many users' prime concerns were just making sure stuff was cited on page, that's all. Hope that helps, hope you stick around, but if you leave i understand. • Hi, Editor. My intention is not to misrepresent anyone, I am simply recounting my experience. Unfortunately, not a single person in the Pride subchannel supported me until after I'd already left Wookieepedia's Discord. There may be people in the channel who were supportive but silent. Nonetheless, all of the people with whom I interacted were actively trying to disprove my argument. Perhaps they were playing devil's advocate, but if so, this was not clear and, to me, came across instead as invalidating. Queen Amiadala (talk) 01:27, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
    • I'm sorry it came across as such. The pride channel is one of the most welcoming sub-communities I have ever been in, I think emotions must have just been running high because of the past few days. Oh, also, you removed in Padme's Personality and traits that she knew Sabe was in love with her, I recall being the one who added that. I'm sure its in the text, I just need to find it again :P Editoronthewiki (talk) 23:05, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
      • Oh, okay! I couldn't find it in Queen's Shadow myself, which was the reference cited, but please let me know where it is in the book and I will add it back in again. Queen Amiadala (talk) 01:59, 23 April 2023 (UTC)
        • Oh, sorry, didn't see you responded. Finals season so wasn't really paying attention to my talk page discussions, not the best way to reach me lol (I did send you a discord friend request if that would make conversation easier). Looks like this was a mistake on my part though, I think I misread her lines to Tonra in Shadow as confirming it. I think one could read it that way, but i'm not sure. again, finals are kind of frying my brain so i may not be making sense :P Editoronthewiki (talk) 23:46, 27 April 2023 (UTC)

RE: Clarification

Hi Amiadala! Happy to hear from you. Again, I think you're reading the worst into it. Yes, mistakes were made. But emotions were high and all. Yes, the reaction to Sabé going to the concert with the other girl is the best evidence of Padmé being LGBTQ+. However, I think there were just some editors who were unsure if it should be concretely interpreted as such. Its not that your experiences were being dismissed, its just that interpretation can sometimes vary between people. Look at Eemee and Falloo. We cannot 100 percent say they are in a relationship, even though personally I think that is clear in the imagery, we don't want to fully assume. Editoronthewiki (talk) 18:21, 5 May 2023 (UTC)

  • Hello. I think Wookieepedia may have re-sent a message that I left on your talk page earlier. I haven't written anything about the Pride Discord lately. Sorry for the confusion. Queen Amiadala (talk) 18:25, 5 May 2023 (UTC)

Category tags

Hi, I noticed nobody had responded to your proposals on the Talk:Tonra and Talk:Versé pages and thought I may suggest creation of a Forum:Senate Hall thread (that way more people may see your proposals), or even discussing the topic amongst the Wookieepedia:WookieeProject Pride before adding those categories. I don't want to discourage you from future editing but rather encourage you to add those quotes to the BTS for both pages. I do feel that they are slightly different scenarios to what was discussed on the Padmé page however, as that originated from conflicting interpretations of what was published in an official source as opposed to those tweets which are essentially E.K.'s head-canon and views not necessarily shared/authorized by Lucasfilm. As her intentions never made it to the published page, or "in-canon" as she puts it, I don't see how the category can be considered canonical for these two subjects. Tepoh

Hey there! While you're obviously able to edit status pages, I just want to note that when you're making edits such as these ones which are either large scale edits or ones that are leaving facts tags on them, it's generally standard and a courtesy to either consult the nominators in question or bring the topic up on the page's talk page. I would recommend the next time you just go to the talk page instead, this way any potential issues can be resolved without having a back and forth on the page itself, which doesn't do any good. Thank you Lewisr (talk) 02:27, 19 November 2023 (UTC)

  • Thank you for the notification. I was trying to fix incorrect usage of Tepoh’s pronouns (in some places, the article used “her” or “their” instead of “zher”), to edit the prose so that it flowed better, and to ensure that the BTS didn’t imply untrue things, such as Johnston’s claim that Wendig invented zhe/zher pronouns. All of this I indicated in the edit summary. Could you please explain to me how this could be construed as "targeting" the article, as you wrote on Tepoh's page? Thank you. Queen Amiadala (talk) 03:27, 19 November 2023 (UTC)
    • I've responded on Tepoh's talk page since I see the discussion was moved there Lewisr (talk) 04:13, 19 November 2023 (UTC)
