Help needed

Hi guys. I tried to make the Versé/canon page but failed badly. I don't really edit on the wiki often. I tried to add a source, but had trouble with it. Very sorry, please help! Unsigned comment by Rollabar (talk • contribs)

  • No problem! It was an easy fix. I went ahead and fixed the page for you. That being said, is there a canon source that gives Versé's name? We can only create pages for canon characters if we know that their name appears in a canon source. Let me know, thanks! - Brandon Rhea(talk) 00:45, July 9, 2015 (UTC)
    • doesn't Padme shout her name after the ship explodes? 124.176.155.183 02:17, July 9, 2015 (UTC)

I just watched this Today with my sister. She said and rushed to Corde after her senator ship blew up. Is this talking about heR last name? - Sara Unsigned comment by 66.87.117.233 (talk • contribs)

To be honest, I saw her name when I looked at Cordé's wiki page. I saw that it was a redlink so I decided to try making the page (thanks so much for helping there by the way). But Cordé's page didn't have a source for Versé's name. I checked the credits on IMDb and didn't see her there either. I looked at the legends page to see where her name was cited from there and it appears her name was shown in the novelization of the movie. I did rewatch the scene she appears in, and she is a barely noticeable character descending from Padmé's ship behind Cordé, wearing all black. Does that mean she is not technically a canon character, or simply a unnamed canon character? If she doesn't count as canon that's fine, you can delete the page, I at least got some good wiki experience :) --Rollabar (talk) 20:39, July 10, 2015 (UTC)

  • Oh wait, found her name in the old databank page for Cordé. I looked at what counts as canon in the wookieepedia policy page, and it said the databank is canon (which I'm guessing you already knew :P). Does that work? --Rollabar (talk) 20:53, July 10, 2015 (UTC)
    • The current Databank is canon, but not the old one. The old one is chock full of Legends information. If there's no canonical source that contains her name, then unfortunately she's not eligible for a page (per your previous question, that makes her an "unnamed canon character," as you described it). Glad you feel the experience was useful anyway -- great attitude! - Brandon Rhea(talk) 21:03, July 10, 2015 (UTC)
      • Oh I didn't know there was a difference, oops! Thanks for all the help. --Rollabar (talk) 15:08, July 11, 2015 (UTC)

Adding Versé to LGBTQ+ Individuals

I would like to propose that we add Versé to the LGBTQ+ Individuals category. E.K. Johnston has specified in multiple Tweets (which are cited on this page as well as in WP:PRIDE) that she intended for Versé to be a trans woman. In the past, Wookieepedia has used authorial intent to "confirm" characters' queer identities. Therefore, I believe Johnston's Tweets should suffice for adding Versé to the category. • Left response on Tonra's talk page addressing Versé and Tonra both; as both issues are tied together somewhat and posting twice would be redundant.spookywillowwtalk 01:30, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
