Welcome, Operep!

Wookiees-Transparent

New to wikis? Don't worry, we were all new once. Our help pages will get you started, and the Jundland Wastes sandbox can be used for test edits. Don't be afraid to make mistakes—be bold!

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, you can consult our FAQ, ask a question in the Senate Hall forum, visit our official IRC channel, or leave me a message on my talk page.
May the Force be with you! —Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 20:42, October 15, 2018 (UTC)

Warning: Verify

Thank you for contributing to Wookieepedia! Please note that at least one of your recent additions added unverified information to a mainspace article. Additions to Wookieepedia's articles must be verifiable by a reliable source per our sourcing policy, and unverified information may be reverted or deleted. Continuing to add unverified information may lead to you being blocked from editing by an administrator. Thank you. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 18:34, November 8, 2018 (UTC)

That's not how it works

This is not how it works. If a page needs to be retitled, there is a move function for this exact reason. Copypasting is not how it's done. Furthermore, I urge you to discuss the moving of important articles that have been at their current title for years now, or you'll end up in a back-and-forth move war with someone else. Use the talk pages for suggesting such drastic changes. Thank you. 1358 (Talk) 00:01, November 12, 2018 (UTC)

Redirects

Hi, please note that there's no need to create a /Legends version of a Canon redirect. No one will ever search for "Tython Jedi Temple/Legends", for example, so the redirect is useless. Cheers, 1358 (Talk) 19:19, December 12, 2018 (UTC)

It's vs its

Hello. Please note that "it's" is a contracted form of "it is", while "its" is the possessive form of "it". Hope this helps, Imperators II(Talk) 23:17, January 9, 2019 (UTC)

Unsourced information

Hello. Please do not add unsourced information to status articles, like you did here. Thank you, Imperators II(Talk) 18:55, January 20, 2019 (UTC)

Punctuation

Please note that punctuation, including commas and full stops, go inside quotation marks in American English. Thank you. 1358 (Talk) 20:37, February 14, 2019 (UTC)

Page moves

You've been warned about this before. Copy-pasting is not how pages are moved. If you do it again, you will be facing administrative action. Thank you for your cooperation. 1358 (Talk) 20:15, June 20, 2019 (UTC)

Blocked

Dialog-error You have been blocked from editing for three days for disruption. You've been warned about moving pages and recently about punctuation—which is what earned you this administrative action. As you have no intention of heeding advice, I have no choice but to block you.. To contest this block, please contact the blocking administrator with the reason you believe the block is unjustified. 1358 (Talk) 14:08, June 24, 2019 (UTC)

Planet residents category

Please don't add categories of individuals being residents of certain planets just because they were formally working there. In a universe where interplanetary travel is equivalent to commuting between different municipalities, this is equivalent to automatically assuming in real life that a person with a job in a certain town or city has to live in that town or city. I have taken the time to revert your edits to quality articles I have seen, please take the time to undo all edits of this nature. Thanks! Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 14:30, June 29, 2019 (UTC)

  • Species also don't. Also of note they are categorized by their planetary region and not individual origin planet. Cfr the fact that Jawas are classified as Outer Rim Territories species. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 14:52, June 29, 2019 (UTC)
    • The only category that goes for them is Outer Rim Territories species, which is in the article already. Categories for residents of certain planets applies only to individuals. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 15:10, June 29, 2019 (UTC)

Alphabetizing categories

When adding categories to articles, please remember that they are to be listed in alphabetical order, in accordance with the Wookieepedia Layout Guide. Thank you. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 17:58, June 29, 2019 (UTC)

Infoboxes

Hello Operep, when editing pages with infoboxes please avoid adding extra spaces between the parameter names and the equal signs in the template, as you did here. Thank you! VergenceScatter (talk) 22:22, 11 December 2021 (UTC)

  • Additionally, please reference pages yourself instead of creating them with the {{Citation}} template. VergenceScatter (talk) 22:26, 11 December 2021 (UTC)

Manual of Style

Please refer to the Manual of Style when making edits in regards to formatting on Wookieepedia.

  1. With the exception of the dash, punctuation marks go inside quotation marks.
  2. Avoid unnecessary pipelinks that do not point to a different title from the term being linked (example: [[Luke Skywalker]]'s, not [[Luke Skywalker|Luke Skywalker's]]).
  3. Sentient species' names are always capitalised.
  4. This is how you use semi-colons.

Familiarise yourself with this wiki's practices before carrying on with anymore such edits or you may be blocked for disruption. Thank you. OOM 224 20:36, 20 October 2022 (UTC)
