Welcome, NaruHina!

Hello and welcome to Wookieepedia. I hope you like the place and choose to join our work. Here are a few good links for newcomers: right|180px

Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the Senate Hall, visit our official IRC channel, or ask me on my talk page. May the Force be with you! —Graestan(Talk) 03:45, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Luia?

In the last movie when Luke tells Leia about their relationship she says that "somehow she has as always known." If that's true then why did she kiss him the fifth movie? NaruHina Talk 20px 03:08, 21 May 2008 (UTC)dp

  • Just to prove a point to Han, I think. Welcome to the KotOR WookieeProject, by the way!--Jedi Kasra 03:32, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Welcome!

Hello, again, NaruHina. I am a member of the KotOR WookieeProject. I will be letting you know tomorrow about some stuff related to KotOR that you can work on, if you're up to it. Please leave me a message on my talk page.--Jedi Kasra 04:01, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

  • Very good. I would suggest you read the FA tutorials put up by the Inquisitors and the Manual of Style, for tips on how to source an article, as there are plenty of KotOR articles that need sourcing.--Jedi Kasra 23:10, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

RE: Zaerdra

I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about here. For me, the 100% Light Side template goes behind the second picture of her; it is still very much visible. If you could, please send over a link to a screenshot of what you mean.--Goodwood 20px (Alliance Intelligence) 08:08, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

WP:KOTOR Reorg Meeting

#WP:KOTOR

irc://irc.freenode.net/WP:KOTOR
For those who wish to continue on the WP:KOTOR WookieeProject, there will be an informational and organizational meeting via IRC on this channel on Saturday, 19 July 2008 at 0:00 UTC (that's 8p.m. Eastern Time in North America). If you do not have ChatZilla or another chat program capable of accessing the channel, it is recommended that you get one ([1] is one option). If you are unable to attend the meeting for whatever reason, please leave a response on my talk page. Anyone who does not attend and does not leave their regrets will be dismissed from the project—this is for the health of the project, with nothing personal intended. Thank you and have a nice day.--Goodwood 20px (Alliance Intelligence) 23:07, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

FA/GA templates

Just FYI, the {{User featured}} and {{User good}} templates are only meant to be used by users who've done a significant amount of work on the article, and not just for reviews/voting, which seems to be the case with your using them. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 08:02, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Possible Answer

Im not 100% sure but Mission's was most likely born on Ryloth,After all its not very uncommon for many twileks to be born into poverty and I hear Ryloth has many slums,Now don't get me wrong I know thats the case with lots of planet's but it just seems very likely for twilek's in Mission's case.--Borvo's vault 17:43, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

Your CT

Consensus tracks are not for deliberating what's canon and what's not. It's for issues related to Wookieepedia as a site. I have deleted your thread, please bring up the matter either on the relevant article talk page or in the Senate Hall. Additionally, the anon's edit is based on speculation and can clearly just be removed. Thank you. --Imperialles 01:04, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Sig

Hey, the timestamp in your signature is currently being bolded. I'm not sure if you want it to or not; I'm just letting you know, cause it looks a little strange. :-) -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 19:36, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

I'm a KOTOR fan too.....

I'm a huge KOTOR fan as well. Have you got any ideas for kotor 3? (Sorry I ask this too every KOTOR fan cos they're never enough......)Devan2 20:59, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

oh yeah......

I forgot Lucasart's have announced an mmo game based on kotor 3. How would you feel about that on a scale of 1 to 10? I personally feel it will ruin the franchise because it'll be too different from it's two games.Devan2 18:22, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

That's a relief.....

You're in the kotor project right? What articles are you focusing on right now? cos I need help on the bao-dur page- the personality and traits section. Devan2

Re: Deleted Senate Hall thread

The answer to the question posed in the thread is easily found in the Canderous Ordo article. Use your browser's "Find" feature and type "Vong." Gonk (Gonk!) 17:16, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Gonna get to it

Yeah but like you said I should probably focus on the ones Goodwood sir told us to. Thanks Devan2 10:10, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

Old Republic nomination

Hey there, NH. Just dropping by to send my appreciation on working so diligently on the Knights of the Old Republic article, and even nominating it to GA. I've no doubt the article will pass, seeing all complaints so far are null and void. Hopefully, people will take note of your hard work and will pitch in to get it to FA. Aha, I'm pretty damn sure you're gonna need some help for that.

Anyways, I'm just stopping by to give you a well-deserved congratulations on getting the article to where it is today. If you ever need any help with the article, just drop me a line and I'd be glad to lend a hand. Hope to hear from you soon, and happy editing! // ~mikah~ 02:12, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

  • I'd be glad to get rid of some of those red links, though my XBox's DVD Drive is now completely shot so I'll have to write based on memory. I guess that won't be a problem, though, since there are other users out there and the idea of the community is to help those who need it. // ~mikah~ 15:27, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Murder

I'll be happy to create it for you, write a definition, some examples, attitudes etc. However, someone else will have to flesh it out, as I don't have time to focus on it the same way as with the torture article. Unless this Flashfire, who's left a message on my talk page still wants to be the one to do it. Nightlily 14:07, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Appearances

Being the most active KotOR editor I've seen since I joined, working extensively on the Appearances section (on top of basically everything else the article covers), I wanted your personal input on the New continuity sections and a possible (re?)surfacing of its use. Naturally, it wouldn't be used on articles such as Knights, but rather smaller articles (ie, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars: Obi-Wan, possibly Star Wars: The Force Unleashed). // ~mikah~ 19:47, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

    • I see. Thanks for your reply. :) // ~mikah~ 23:13, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Ebon Hawk

Just to let you know, Ebon Hawk was kept as an FA last night, but the Inquisitors had a couple of minor issues which are noted on Wookieepedia:Inq/Ebon Hawk (second review). You might want to fix those up too and thanks for your work so far. Green Tentacle (Talk) 17:09, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

  • I addressed the final Behind the scene issue (transition to paragraph form) to the best of my ability. Feel free to read it over and change whatever you feel needs a good fix. // ~mikah~ 17:43, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

could you help me with the user info box on my page when you get the chance? RogueJedi 15:34, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

hey

sorry for editing utris, and thank you for naming that link where people can see what i edit, but i like putting the pages i edit in my page,i am sorry if you dislike that, but i dont. i hope everything is clear and that we dont have further misunderstandings mister ( or miss)) Naru hina.dearly: Tusken916

hello mister naruhina, thanks for clearing the Graxol Kelvyyn thing and I would very much like contacting you in the messenger, because so far you are the only nice-not rude user i've met, almost all the others are very...strange or old(not all, just almost). hope we can contact each other.dearly: Tusken916

The Sith Lords

If you don't mind, do you think you could handle some of the rest for me? I'm starting to get an ache in my wrist, but there isn't much more to go. I've been chopping down the list as I've been going along (I haven't saved it though), so if you need it, let me know before I leave, and I'll post it here and remove it later if you wish. // ~mikah~ 02:47, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

  • Lifesaver! You don't have to add them all if you're not up to it either, and I'll remove the list per your request when i get back on if it takes up too much space. // ~mikah~ 03:06, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
    • I am terribly sorry to have made you go to such work. I'll be owing you a lot in the future, I'm sure. ;) But thank you for doing all you did; I really do appreciate it. // ~mikah~ 15:50, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
      • A subpage? I'm guessing in reference to the list I posted here and later killed? Because we did have a subpage (yours), but it wasn't mine, so I decided against deleting things from it without permission. // ~mikah~ 16:01, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

It would be my pleasure to help with KotOR. :) // ~mikah~ 14:59, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

  • After an edit conflict in the dark side ending section, I've decided to take a step back and let you handle the portion of the article if you'd prefer. You seem to have more information on the topic than I do, and there are other things for me to focus on. // ~mikah~ 20:38, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Hey NH. Do you know the canon order of planets for TSL? I can't get to reliable chronology sources right now. So far I have in order: Peragus, Telos, Onderon ( first battle), Dantooine, Nar Shaddaa, Onderon (second battle), Korriban and then Endgame - Dantooine, Telos and Malachor. * Cylka * 06:40, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

Signature

Your signature is currently violating policy. Images in sigs are supposed to be no more than 20px in height; yours is currently 29px. Reducing the width to 14px will make the height 20px if you want to do that. I wouldn't say anything only the height of your image can create annoying gaps between lines. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 22:02, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks!

Thanks for the congrats; my new wife got a kick out of Leia's facial expression. lol. -- Colinmcev 02:42, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

KotOR GAN

Hey there. I was looking at the KotOR GAN and I noticed that one of the things wanted is an expanded main character section. If you want some help with that just let me know. I tend to shy away from writing a lot of text -esp since this is your baby- but I've had a lot of practice taking in-game screenshots and such. Party portarits I could pull in a few minutes, but any others take longer so I can set them up. I'll also try to get to the redlinks in the weapons and tech section. * Cylka * 14:49, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

  • Ok redlinks are gone. Just to make sure, the main character section includes only companions or are there others like Yuthura Ban or Saul Karath * Cylka * 22:07, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
  • Trying to pull myself together for the chars :p You might want to check this site out The Star Wars Timeline Gold, compiled by Star Wars fan and chronology expert, Nathan P. Butler. It's rumored to be legit and has tons of info. * Cylka * 02:34, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
  • OK main chars done. If you've got any mor red links left, put them up. If you want more help let me know. Otherwise I'm going to work on Visas and TSL some more. * Cylka * 01:05, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
    • Hey NH. I was wondering if you wanted to put in things like the easter egg creature items or the droid items. * Cylka * 14:31, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
  • All youtube refs are updated :-) * Cylka * 17:55, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
    • It would seem you won't need my help anymore, NH. Sorry I couldn't have been of any help to either of you, but I didn't get the request until I got home from school about an hour ago. If the sources are still not up to critics' standards, I'll be more than happy lend a hand. // ~mikah~ 19:12, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
  • Hey NH. Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. I actually had some pressing family stuff that pretty much took me out of commission for a while. Its been taken care of so I have the time to work on the Wook again. I think Mikah took care of ref. 23. I see a lot of new redlinks so I'll try to work on those too. * Cylka * 22:48, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
    • Thanks and no problem :-) It's my secret hope to help you wrap up KotOR and somehow finish TSL before TOR is released. I have a feeling that TOR might just renew interest in those two and it would be great for them to be complete.* Cylka * 05:04, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

Aratech 500

Hey there NaruHina. Thanks for catching that. It was lucky for me that you did. Turns out that my tlk file had become corrupted and was missing lines. That's why I didn't find it there. I now have a new one, so hopefully I won't run into this problem again. : ) * Cylka * 18:18, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

Re:WP:KOTOR

Am I allowed to join? I was'nt sure if there was some rule that says you have to be invited, or have a certain number of edits? Jayce Carver 13:52, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

Oh, in that case I will join, I love KotOR, and I can't wait for TOR. Also all of the NPC's from KotOR II have been tagged with the talk page template. Jayce Carver 11:54, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

I'm signed up. Yeah, you could be right about TOR. I think they will do something simmilar to Pirates of the Caribbean Online. Where you can get a basic version for free, or a full access version that you have to pay for. Also what on earth is going on with Darth Sion? First the campaign guide establishes that he fought in the Great Sith War, and now the comics are turning Lucien Draay into Sion. Jayce Carver 12:11, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

KotOR Article Milestone

With an edit by Cylka, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is officially longer than 100,000 bytes. Compare this to the 53,342 bytes it was at the start of the attempt to get this article up to GA status. Good Job guys. NaruHina Talk 14px 21:08, 25 October 2008 (UTC)

Bastila Shan edit

Hey, NaruHina; I reverted your Bastila edit for two reasons and wanted to explain myself. One, I couldn't find a reference to the event in the article link you provided. Secondly, if it was a comment made by the developers, then it would not be canon, although it would be appropriate for the bts section. - Cavalier One(Squadron channel) 14:15, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

It's cool. Just wanted to let you know my reasons for reverting. - Cavalier One(Squadron channel) 14:50, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

Bio article advice

Just some quick pointers: for game developers, it's usually best to link to Moby Games using Template:MobyGames. MobyGames occasionally has more complete information than IMDb. Also, game titles are should be italicized. Other than that, great work at creating needed articles. -LtNOWIS 05:52, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

Nihilus mask

Hey NH. I wrote that article based on the game files and in the dialog TLK files it was also called Nihilus Mask. Maybe we should change it back?* Cylka * 20:30, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

  • If it's called "Nihilus mask" in the game then that name should be used over a conjectural name. It just means Nihilus mask as in the Nihilus mask, so it's not incorrect. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 20:38, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
    • Where is it written in the possessive? I'm just curious because my game and TLK files don't have it in the possessive.* Cylka * 20:55, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
      • I have the pc version and its not in the possessive. So the question is which version are we going to go with? * Cylka * 21:29, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
        • No, its fine. We have different versions thats all. Next time just ask before assuming that I'm doing it all wrong. Thanks. * Cylka * 22:22, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
          • OK, you're right, maybe that was a bit unfair. I think the most important thing that we'll have to remember is that there may be some discrepancies in the KotOR articles because of the xbox and pc versions. Maybe as a Kotor project group we should come up with a consensus as to which version we'll use in order to avoid any future dilemmas. * Cylka * 03:38, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

Saga CG Nihilus entry

Victim of the Mandalorian Wars, the man who became Nihilus lost everything: his possessions, his loved ones, and the will to live. While illness cannibalizes his body, a vast emptiness devours his humanity. Then, when all seems lost, he discovers that his emptiness hungered. The first time, he fed it unconsciously. Draining another being's life is frightening, nauseating, but for a euphoric moment, the memories, the illness, the hunger disappeared.

But it proves insatiable. The more he indulges it, the shorter the satisfaction lasts and the more severe the hunger becomes. He begins feeding relentlessly, still always craving. Existence again becomes unbearable, but then hope materializes. A blind Sith Lord appears. She has felt his existence like a gaping wound in the Force. The Force, she explains, fuels his hunger, and she will show him how to devour worlds. The Sith and the Force are meaningless to him, but the hunger must be appeased.

Darth Traya indeed teaches the newly christened Darth Nihilus to harness his life-craving gift to radical heights – so effectively in fact, that Nihilus saps Traya's powers in a calculated double cross. However, as Nihilus greedily consumes entire planets' life energy, the dark side macerates him even faster. But no matter. Nothing matters except his hunger. Before it devours him totally, Nihilus uses its power to displace his persona into his robes and armor. As his useless body disintegrates, he becomes living primitive intention; at last, the whole of the galaxy becomes food – for Nihilus has become the hunger.

Ousting Traya with Darth Sion's help, Nihilus binges on the Force, nearly extinguishing the Jedi forever at Katarr. However, Traya reciprocates his betrayal by luring him into a confrontation with the Jedi Exile and Nihilus's own former apprentice. When Nihilus tries feeding on this Jedi, his hunger is mysteriously repelled, as if confronted by his exact polar opposite. Psychically starved by the effort, the Dark Lord falls to the Jedi, and Nihilus the man dissolves into oblivion.

Special actions: Dark healing field, Drain Force, Improved dark healing, temptation.

Force powers known: Battle strike, Dark rage, Farseeing, Force grip, Force lightening, Force resistence, Force scream, Force whirlwind, sever Force, Slow, Surge, Wound.

Force secrets: Devastating power, Distant power, Mentor, Multi-target power.

Force techniques: Force power mastery (sever Force), Improved Sense Force, Improved Sense surroundings.

Immune to Fear effects.

Possessions: lightsaber (self-built), mask, Sith robes.

Hope this helps. * Cylka * 11:13, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

  • Hey NH. I changed Nihilus' to Nihilus's in the article since his possessive form is an exception to the rule according to the MoS. If you don't like it you can change it back since I'm not sure the rule is strictly enforced. Btw, any other help you need, just let me know. * Cylka * 12:36, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

Devastating power When using a Force power that deals damage, you can spend a Force point to increase the power's damage dice by 50%. Alternatively, you can spend a Destiny point to double the number of damage dice.
My interpretation: Has the ability to deal a hell of a lot of damage if he puts his mind to it.

Distant power When using a Force power that has a range expressed numerically, you can spend a Force point to increase the range by 10. Alternatively, you can spend a Destiny point to increase the range to anywhere in the star system.
My interpretation: Has the ability to hurt beings anywhere in the same star system? WTF?

Misc Items
Force points are used when consciously calling upon the Force.
Force secrets available to only very powerful Force users – ones highly in tune with the Force.

Force Speed GAN

  • Hey NaruHina :-). Thanks for all your suggestions on the Force Speed article so far, I was wondering if you could take another look at it as I think it has improved, and SoresuMakashi and IFLOFD's objections have been addressed. Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated :). Hope you have a great Christmas :-). Grunny 05:49, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
    • Hey again :-). Just wondering are there any more objections to the nom or are you supporting? This is my first nom so I hope it goes through :). Merry Christmas Grunny 08:57, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
      • Yeah thats what I thought at first but I've looked through so many sources already and it appears in surprisingly few. It doesn't appear in any westend rpg sourcebooks that I have and only started appearing in the wizards, and even then I have all of them and it only appears in the ones listed and in hero's guide its only indirectly. If you know of other sources with it in then that would be great but as of now I can't find it anywhere else. Grunny 09:07, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
        • I just searched wikipedia for force speed and force augmented speed in the box, and after episode 1 it stops resulting so thats a dead end. I'll search through all the LOTF books, I have them i ebook as well so I can use find for speed and see what I come up with, but like I said I thought it appeared alot more however it actually appears quite rarely compared to say force jump. I'll get back to you when I've done the searches, might be after christmas though =P. Thanks for your suggestions and hope you have a great christmas :-). Grunny 09:27, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
  • Hey NaruHina :), I've searched alot and added a User's section as per Atarumaster88's advice and I think the article has improved alot so I wondered if you could take another look through whenever you can :-). Thanks for all your help and ideas :-). Grunny (Talk) 07:50, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
  • Hey again NaruHina :), just wondering if theres anything else your objecting to on the Force Speed article or whether you are supporting? Thanks for all your helpful ideas and suggestions for improvement :-). Grunny (Talk) 00:50, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

Restoring GA userbox

Hey NH. I was wondering how you go about proposing a userbox. I saw that you proposed a couple already. I was thinking of a userbox for restoring a GA, like the one they have for restoring a FA. Actually it was your Nihilus that gave me the idea. Also, if you would want to propose it, go right ahead. I just think GAs should have one too. Cylka-talk- 13:01, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

Nihilus

Yeah, so, you got the Onderon bit in the right place but you currently have the order of events in the second and third paragraphs as:

  • Exile returns to Republic Space
  • Exile re-establishes connection
  • Disturbance in the Force
  • Visas sent to find the Exile
  • Visas joins the Exile
  • Atris arrages for Exile's return
  • Peragus destroyed with major consequences
  • Exile under tutelage of Kreia

It really should be:

  • Exile returns to Republic Space
  • Atris arrages for Exile's return
  • Exile re-establishes connection
  • Peragus destroyed with major consequences

Okay thanks, I'll get working on the things you mentioned. Whilst on the subject, does the article on their base need anything added to it? I've been working on both. Nayayen18pxTransmit words at me 11:54, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

Re: Hunter-Killer

You know, I believe you're right, everyone's favorite assassin droid certainly does deserve the honor! It's an ambitious venture, but I think between you, me and Cylka, we'll be able to pull it off. I'd like to focus on Brianna and Visas until we've seen them to GA, but any preliminary work you could do on HK right now would definitely be helpful. Other than the sourcing, the only thing I see right now in desperate need of improvement and general expansion is the abilities section. As you can see, there's a LOT that could be added. I'll pitch in when I'm not working on Brianna or Visas as well. Let's get to it! :) JethLordMaster (Talk) 06:52, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Brianna

Sorry, I was typing a responcs, but I forgot I was still on my userpage, and I must of deleted the entire thing instead of just what I typed. :P

Yeah, I was under the impression that you only needed 2 AC votes and 5 in total for it to pass. I checked some previous successful noms and there were only 5. How exactly does the process work, since you have some more experience with this than me? JethLordMaster (Talk) 01:55, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Heheh, yeah, I jumped the gun a bit there. I'm still new to this after all! Oh, and there's an explanation to your objection. It's been confirmed that Brianna does travel with the female Exile. Thanks for the help! JethLordMaster (Talk) 02:10, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

"The Echani Handmaidens are a group of sisters who serve Jedi Master Atris on Telos IV after the end of the Jedi Civil War. They are trained in the well-respected Echani combat techniques. Their physical appearance is strikingly similar, except for the Last Handmaiden, Brianna, who had a different mother than her sisters. She eventually joined the Jedi Exile in her pursuit of the Sith Lords, which ultimately turned her against her sisters and Jedi Master Atris." Taken from the preview of the set at this link: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=starwars/article/KOTORminispreview5.

Hope that clears it up! JethLordMaster (Talk) 02:26, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

GAN

Hey NH. While I appreciate you taking the time to explain any objections I may leave on the GAN page, I believe that I have a different method for trying to get a new user to learn the ins and outs of editing. If there is something that they don't understand, I would like them to either look it up themselves or get in touch with me or another user. I feel that someone can learn much more by taking action. Thanks. Cylka-talk- 10:54, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

  • Naru, I did not want to continue this discussion on the GA nom page because I believe that would be rude in general and very disrespectful to the nominator. There is a way to rewrite the Black Vulkar cut content in the present tense. Yes, the whole paragraph would have to be restructured, but it is possible. That is why I left the choice up to him. I do not understand why you are continuing to argue against and question my objection. Earlier you had left a message telling me that you just wanted to inform him that he had written it correctly, and I conceded that point. This is not your nomination and Nayayen has yet to give his opinion of the matter. Maybe you should allow him to give his opinion before you start jumping in. Since I am not asking him to go against policy, I would not change my objection just because you don't like it and certainly not before I hear from the nominator. Revan

Hey Naru. Revan never was a Jedi Master. The CG distinctly calls him a Jedi Knight, and in the comics, Alek calls him a "honorary Master," so no he can't be listed as a Jedi Master. Thanks. Cylka-talk- 23:13, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Jango

The reference definitely isn't completely certain, and the writers meant for it to be that way. But I think all the evidence points in the direction of Jango. Who else could it be? Kebla 21:49, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

  • Ok! That's certainly understandable. Kebla 15:51, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Operation: Knightfall

I didn't want to clog up the GAN page with an explanation, so I figured I would leave you a message. I talked it over with some of the ACs and you don't need a conjecture tag. What you need is to be able to provide a source for each of the alternate titles. If you can't, then they have to be taken out. Then what you'll need to do is somehow fit into the History the sources of those titles. Something like "The X group called it so and so, while official records named it so and so." This is to avoid putting ref notes in the intro, and if it's a canonical title, it shouldn't go in the Bts. Cylka-talk- 08:09, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Re: Revan"s Rank

Hey Naru. I believe that Chronicles was written before the CG, but anyway, there are some serious continuity issues with Chronicles, and right now I am actually in the middle of trying determine how to deal with those issues. So far, I have heard that the CG overrides any Chronicles information, but I'm not certain of this. Until I find out for sure, I would say that it is better to leave it out of the article until I get some concrete answers. Cylka-talk- 21:59, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

  • I believe I heard somewhere that the whole thing with Alek and the other Revanchists calling Revan "Master" was intended to retcon the Chronicles discrepancy.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 17:08, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
  • OK, so I have figured out the continuity issues and you can take a look at them here on the project page. So far, I haven't seen anything concrete about the retcon Kasra mentioned. All I know is the Revan was Malak's "informal master," according to the comics. Cylka-talk- 02:36, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

Nihilus on the GAN

Hey Naru. After the recent AC meeting we decided to trial a new GAN format on some of our longer noms, which in this case are Darth Nihilus and Ordo Skirata. As you can see from the GAN the objections section has been moved to what will become the archive subpage here. Now you can watch that page and see instantly when someone has objected or commented on your nom instead of having to check the GAN constantly. • Hey, Naru, I read the KotOR campaign guide cover to cover, and I could find nothing that indicates that Traya or Nihilus belonged to Revan and Malak's Sith Empire. In fact, Traya'e entry states that she came to the Empire's remnants on Malachor as Revan's former master, indicating that she came sometime after the end of the Jedi Civil War. Between Traya, Sion, and Nihilus, the only one who belonged to Revan and Malak's Sith Empire was Sion.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 16:21, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

don't CSD legitimate articles

Sith Master (Lehon) was a completely legitimate article. Please do not place CSD tags on such articles that there is no merit in deleting. Thankfully a more naive administrator did not come along and trust your judgment here, but in the future if you have a problem with articles that aren't 100% baloney, please TC them instead. Further such CSD tags will be treated as disruption of the wiki processes. Graestan(Talk) 14:23, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

Mara Jade Skywalker image?

Hi there. You reverted my change at Mara Jade Skywalker citing that real life images should be preferred in infoboxes. I obviously disagree (since the Essential Atlas picture is much better even if drawn) but can you show me where that rule is written down? I could not find any such requirement. Regards SoWhy 20:10, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

I see your point, although I do not really think it's a valid one. One could argue that the precedent in the Luke, Han or Leia articles is because they are G-canon and thus more "canon-y" than elements of C-canon, i.e. EU happenings. On the other hand, both the LA and the Essential Atlas Mara picture are C-canon and thus not comparable. I will raise the question on the talk page thus and see what people think. Thanks for your answer though. Regards SoWhy 08:29, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
I see. Well, it seems there was some controversy about it back in 2007 already which seems to have come to no conclusion, so I raised the issue again, offering the EA picture as a replacement. Regards SoWhy 08:43, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Clone assassins

Couple of things: Please watch your linking, and the use of repetitive words like "Soldiers." Their are certain issues with the article regarding Sidious. In the bio you stated: "Clone assassins were special ordered by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, actually Sidious, who justified them as a way to combat Jedi if they ever decided to rebel against him and the Galactic Senate." "actually Sidious" doesn't work here. Unless you mention that "Sidious" was his alter ego, then it would be fine. I believe their was also another issue like this in the intro.

I removed unnecessary/out-of-place information from the intro and bio, however, the out-of-place information has been refitted in. In the intro, an example would be: "...which took place in 19 BBY, and a squad of them was used to guard the Jedi Communication Center." I've moved "Jedi Communication Center" to the next sentence which reads: "Vader activated a beacon, inside the Jedi Communication Center..."

Also, please give your articles a thorough copyedit. I realize that this was just a review, although I've corrected a fair amount of misspelled words and grammatical issues like this: "In 19 BBY, the final year of the Clone Wars, Sidious was engaged in a lightsaber duel by a Mace Windu, a Jedi Master who had learned of his true identity. " "Sidious was engaged" and "By a Mace Windu"? Also the way the sentence was structured didn't make a lot of sense. I've rearranged the sentence to make it flow better.

After Windu vs Sidious, their was a factual error that I've corrected. Sidious did not authorize Order 66 after he named Darth Vader his apprentice. After he killed Windu, Sidious told Vader to go to the Jedi Temple to kill the Jedi. After he left (If you recall the marching into the Jedi Temple scene in ROTS), Sidious then executed Order 66. While it is not a requirement, it is, however, proper to mention a planet by saying " Planet of ___." I've corrected quite a few. Overall, good work. :) JangFett Talk 19:52, September 2, 2009 (UTC)

GAN

The Unidentified Twi'lek Sith GAN has been removed from the nomination page per the AC consensus decision of September 2nd. Your disagreement with the AC's decision to remove the nomination is duly noted, but it does not mean you should renominate the article in what I can only interpret to be a bad-faith attempt to demonstrate your disgust, especially considering what seems to be a pretty half-hearted effort to resolve the objection for which it was removed to begin with. Please note that this message is coming from Toprawa the Administrator, not Toprawa the AC member. I consider this nothing but blatant violation of site consensus. And if you have serious interest in nominating this article, I would probably recommend getting in contact with the user who made the objection in the first place, who, I might add with all due respect, knows just a little something about how Wookieepedia articles are put together. So it would behoove you to listen to what he has to say. Should you continue to violate site consensus, you will find yourself blocked from editing. Thank you for your cooperation.
