Barn-burner: Halfway home

Hey there, Fred.

I want to thank you for your efforts so far during Wookieepedia's first barn-burner. This is a not-so-personal message that's being sent out to every participant, but rest assured that everybody affiliated with this project deserves the highest praise. I've been very pleased with the number of users who have been writing, nominating, and reviewing Wookiees and Wookiee-related articles this month. Awesome job, all of you.

We're a little past the halfway mark, and at this point, I'd like to encourage everybody to focus their efforts on reviewing. Many users have been reviewing a lot already, and yes, you're absolutely welcome and encouraged to continue writing and nominating articles at this point. I just want to encourage everyone to take some time and help out others, which was one of the original purposes of this project. Additionally, the more reviewing that we all participate in, the more articles we can see promoted before the end of the month. Anything promoted after the end of May will still count as being part of the barn-burner, but it would be cool to get as much through as we can before then.

Hey you said you were going to do a pre-nom on mission to Bimmiel and it has been a few days and I am still waiting. If you are still interested in doing it give me a rough date when you will be able to start. I think that Darth Sidious had been the real person and Senator/Chancellor/Emperor Palpatine was his actual Clone Dark Sith Apprentice.

The Dark Sith Lords had been wanting to destroy the Jedi Council and had infiltrated both the Zabrakians and the Dathomirians to bring their Warlock and Witch Brotherhoods and Sisterhoods over to the Dark Side. I can give names and backgrounds to some of your characters if you give me a chance; I am very interested also in Star Wars Galaxy since I am creating my own character. Thorwin Organa Mazeron whom was the son of Maline Organa, Bail Organa's daughter; what I would like to write is a whole series of stories for the Era of the Clone wars and as far back as 600 Years Before The Battle Of Yavin up to 45 Years After The Battle Of Yavin, I can explain much about why the Night Brothers and Night Sisters became the way they are, what I need is to be allowed to write these stories.

We're halfway there

So guys, we're nearing the halfway point with this barn-burner. I just want to send out a broad message thanking everyone who has and plans on participating in Wookieepedia's second barn-burner, and update you guys on how it's going so far. So far, we have promoted nine Comprehensive Articles, twelve Good Articles, and one Featured Article! Fantastic job everyone who wrote and reviewed those weapons articles, I couldn't have asked for a better group to do so. We also have a number of current Good and Featured Article Nominations currently up, which you can see here.

However, as we approach the halfway point, I do want to encourage you all to keep writing and reviewing weapon articles for the barn-burner. Our goal should be to meet or surpass the level set by the previous barn-burner, which had over forty promoted articles. While we should aim to pass as many articles as possible by the end of the month, I may extend the barn-burner a little into September for any stragglers, especially for those Users who are writing extremely long Featured Articles for the project.

I should also notify participants of a recent Consensus Track over weapons that is about to pass. The CT is over when we should fill in the "Owners" field for Template:Weapon. Right now, it seems as if we are leaning towards filling in the field for unique weapon types, and not filling in the field for general weapon types. As such, we should fix any weapons we have, or will, write for the barn-burner to fit these new parameters. Thanks you for reading this, and keep up the good work. Not allowed to verify

I made the article Minimech CE and someone added the Verify, Wookify, and Crap tags. The problem is, whenever I try to fix it, I get the following notification:

Augie 'N the gang

You crazy musician! You just can't do it without the comics!! It's madness!!!!!!

With that said, Augie's band appears in these adaptations, presented here in chronological order:

• Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace PhotoComic
• Star Wars Manga: The Phantom Menace 2

They do not appear in the regular comic adaptation, which does a pretty bad job of truncating every scene.

Nothing in the Visual Dictionary, Inside the Worlds, or Incredible Cross Sections. It might be worth asking Bob about the Insider's Guide. Nothing in the Official Souvenir magazine. I hope this helps! Menkooroo 04:10, January 27, 2012 (UTC)

I guess you could start by adding the CSWE to the sources section. :P

Also, something I just noticed: The official souvenir magazine lists the tracks from the soundtrack, among them the track called "Augie's Great Municipal Band." Cite web error

• OK, so... is that a little better? As for Thrawn being related, he "was" the commander of the Springhawk which is the ship that took down the Vagaari ships. I couldn't find any other related images (of the battle or the ships or something) so if we end up taking his image off I don't think we will be able to find another one. Also, I'm having a little trouble with the infobox; under battles that are next I have two battles listed, but their not showing up. And under side 1 I have Chiss Ascendancy with an asterisk before it and then I have Chiss Expansionary Defense Force with two asterisks before it to indent it, but again, it isn't showing up.   • I referenced the first paragraph of the Bts, but I couldn't find a referance for the second paragraph. Should I just remove that part unless I can find a referance for it?       • I have done some more work on my two articles. I decided to drop Battle near the Crustai base (renamed Battle near the Crustai base) because it is to be merged with Battle of the Geroon homeworld (I did look for an existing article before I wrote my own.) and I no longer have Outbound Flight to try and merge them etc. (The article has some things I don't remember being confirmed in the book.) However, I am still going to try to nominate the Skirmish between the Chiss and Vagaari. "Our time has come." Hello <insert name here>! So, it's been a little over three months since The Old Republic was released, and WookieeProject: The Old Republic, which was founded almost two years ago now, was in dire need of a revamp and update. Participation has slumped, but it's time to get back on the wagon and refocus our efforts. So here are some stats: currently, we have ten Featured Articles, thirty-one Good Articles, and thirty-four Comprehensive Articles. Cal Jedi and Coruscantfan have both been doing great work lately, but we need more users to start undertaking projects from the game and related materials. Comprehensive articles are a great way to get started, so take a leap, pick an article, and get crackin'. Beyond status articles, there are a few other ways you can help WP: TOR with it's primary goals. Those of you who have a current subscription to the game are welcome to visit our new guild page, where we're setting up in-game groups to help catalogue and confirm information here on Wookieepedia. Aside from that, our article lists can always use expansions. We have some fun new programs and challenges coming to WP:TOR in the future, so take a look at our news and discussion area for updates, and always remember to add any of your new status article successes to the news board. Well, for the moment, I just need to find how to add structural pieces to articles, like table of contents to character and location pages, those table bars below characters listing their species, homeworld, age, all that. Just stuff to make my Wiki seem a bit orgainized

WP:VG group project

Hey, Fred. Recently, a discussion was brought up in one of the forums for WP:VG. The topic, seen here, is a discussion of a group project. Corellian Premier originally came up with the idea, and he thought perhaps the Battlefront series would be a good one to work on.
