- I'm afraid that's the only one I've found specifically mentioning a bloodline so far. I had considered it canon because it happens regardless of species, and I ran it by User:Imperators II on Talk:Empire's Wrath before I created the article, but I apologize if I was too hasty in that regard. Rodian/husband
Hi, just leaving a brief note about Unidentified Rodian patron and Unidentified Rodian's husband. Wookieepedia shifted to treating pronouns and gender as separate in, pretty much every aspect in policy. As we only know the gender of the husband, and not of the patron, it doesn't fall under the definition of the current Category:LGBTQIA+ individuals—it was discussed, during the nomination process (those are status articles)—but we felt it should not be put in. It's still in Project Pride's scope, but not within the IU category for that reason, to respect the pronoun/genders being treated as separate. Cheers, —spookywillowwtalk 02:14, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
- Would like to note that we're aware of the effect this can have in unfortunately getting some removed from the category—thus, there's a few of us leading an effort to gather more confirmations, which has been actively ongoing (see recent email cites on Isabalia for instance, acquired to have gender confirmation for pronoun-only characters). - Yeah I've been working with several editors to try to get that section more up to date—by reviewing pages and ensuring they receive the pronouns/gender update from the policy, and emailing/reaching out to authors for confirmations when we run into snags. Have noticed a lot of your work with the TOR-related and other ones and would encourage you to keep it up! Thought I'd just stop by and explain since those ones happened to be status articles, but do appreciate your efforts and hope we can get that WookieeProject into a more complete state in 2024. Hi, so—I'm unsure if you've yet read Escape from Valo so I'll avoid getting deeply spoilery but I think the novel's text does support him being attracted to just Kildo (in current event/flashbacks) and that the latter character also returns said feelings, though of course, subject to change in future media. But you're definitely absolutely right that a lot of the "Countdown to Valo" posts and many of Alyssa and Daniel's other posts need to be formed up into a proper Behind the scenes section, including that one. I do agree with your take that memes can't really be taken as firm IU citations, especially in a spoiler-free-post context (in which, they probably couldn't specify about the novel's relationship in text).
Will certainly note it down in prose soon and send an email to the authors, as they've been kind enough to confirm some other stuff from the novel so far as well, and it's definitely worth noting. And luckily, the character would stay in the same category either way. - Oh yeah, I read it cover to cover (and loved it). I know Gavi only has Kildo as a love interest, and he doesn't express attraction to any other characters, but I also know that none of those factors would negate his sexual orientation if he is bisexual, just like how Merrin is always gonna be pansexual whether she's in a monogamous relationship with Cal or not (forgive me for the mini-rant, haha). And, that's why I wanted to pass it along as the possibility of him being given a specific sexual orientation as opposed to only being recognized as a general "MLM character" (similar to Merrin specifically being labeled as pansexual, or to Dr. Aphra specifically being labeled as a lesbian as opposed to just being a "WLW character").
